Who we are?
All three people in our firm raise cattle, are familiar with the operations of cattle ranching and also have some knowledge of farming. We are trustworthy and have lots of experience. One of the things that sets us apart is our willingness to spend money for advertising over a large area. We try to find buyers all over the United States; that’s why our advertising covers 45 states. We have a lot of industry experience with the three of us combined for more than 80 years in the business. We do all the work ourselves. A lot of our business comes from repeat customers. We are not high pressure salesmen. We are representative agents that show property and try to get it sold to someone it makes sense for.
What we do?
We put buyers and sellers together. We try to learn what it is that the client is looking for and show property that fits the criteria. We treat everybody fairly.
Why we do it?
It’s just a trade and the business that we are in, we enjoy what we do. I do it because I like being out in the country I like being on ranches. I like seeing the country with people I like and I am a pretty good people person. It doesn’t have the day to day stress of an office job and also I don’t want to sell houses or commercial office space. All my partners feel the same way. This is what we enjoy doing. There are feast and famine times and when the market goes down it’s hard to get everybody to adjust their prices. Like most businesses, we go through lean times but when we do get something we are fairly compensated. The bottom line is that we enjoy the work and if you do it right you can make a pretty good living.
How did we get started?
The company was started by Bill Bowen 25 years ago. He saw an opportunity to take on this kind of clientele since he knew something about them. He didn’t think there were enough people marketing cattle ranches and farms exclusively in this part of the country. I got in it because I thought I could do the job. I know the cattle business after growing up in it so it’s a good fit for me.
